Komnenić & Partners advised a group of private shareholders holding the majority stake in Podravska banka — one of Croatia’s oldest banking institutions, with a 150-year history — on the sale of their shares to AikGroup.

The transaction covers 91.75% of the shares in Podravska banka in aggregate. Our clients jointly held 82.25% of those shares, with the remaining 9.50% sold by Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A., advised by Šavorić & Partners. AikGroup was advised by Schoenherr. Closing remains subject to customary banking and merger control approvals, following which AikGroup will launch a mandatory takeover bid for the remaining shares in Podravska banka.
